Machynys Peninsula Golf & Country Club

Golf World has recently named Machynys the finest new course of 2005. Wales' first Nicklaus-designed golf course, a challenging 7,100 yard par-72, shows maturity way beyond its fledgling season. Golf World were not the only ones to be impressed by its splendour. The course, set in the Millennium Coastal Park in Llanelli and overlooking Carmarthen Bay, has already hosted the Ladies European Tour for the Wales Ladies Championship of Europe. Design consultant Gary Nicklaus says the experience is spectcular, "When the tide is out and the sky is clear, it is truly breathtaking.
