Kaanapali — Royal Ka'anapali

The Royal Ka'anapali Golf Course, previously called the Tournament North Course, is one of Hawaii's best layouts, designed by legendary Robert Trent Jones Sr. The Course begins at sea level and works its way through the resort out to the ocean's edge at the 5th. The fairway is fairly wide open but the narrow green is a very small target for an approach. From here the course begins to wind its way up into the West Maui foothills where the vistas are panoramic and breathtaking. In its later years, the former Tournament North Course hosted numerous televised events including the LPGA's Women's Kemper Open from 1982 - 1985 and the Senior Tour's Ka'anapali Classic for 13 years beginning in 1988.
